Good morning Peter.Beautiful top of the shelf build up of fillegrain front and the interesting tassles The photo is not very clear, because I cannot quite distinguish the rest, are they silver plates or embroidered and does it extend to the inside as well or is it folded inwards? What I noticed that in Bulgaria they love to curve their fillegrain, like you showed on previous occasions with some other outstanding fillegrain work. Very fascinating. an admirer. Gr. Ingrid.
Good morning Ingrid from an early summer day at the Dead Sea! Many thanks for your message. The belt itself is embroidered, among others with silver and gold threats and the inside of the belt is an orange-red fabric. I have personally never seen such a great belt in terms of a generous and artistic finishing and especially also being in such a great condition. It is rare to come by such pieces, which are well kept and moderately used during the past. With kind regards. Peter
Thank you Peter for your clear explanation. If you could manage, I would love to see a clearer picture of this beauty. I did have once an jewel( I think that is how it is called) embroidered from Ethiopia that was a gun belt which did have all small pockets for the bullets to be kept. (Lost it through all different transports like many other things). But this combination with the stunning front I can only call it a absolute treasure.. Will be a striking piece for any body have in their ward robe and show it off on an gala event or so.!! Gr. Ingrid
