Naga Necklace - 110 strands

A Naga necklace with 110 strands of red glass beads. The beads are old and have beautiful soft wear and patina. Incredibly thick, this necklace lays across the shoulders more than around the neck. The closure has a beautiful macrame weave and accent beads in light blue, dark blue, yellow, orange, and black. About 500 grams.

  • Dear Lynn; This is an exceptional Naga necklace. I love it! Congratulations. Peter

  • Lynn, this is a beautiful necklace, unusuable beads for a Naga necklaces, but in my point of view a lot more refined compaired to the standard beads more known. Really lovely.  Gr. Ingrid.

  • 500 grams! Incredible weight. Is this original or recently restrung (sorry, can never tell the difference)

  • Thank you Peter, Ingrid, and Patricia!  I really love it and it looks wonderful on, more like wearing a heavy scarf than a necklace.

Patricia I am not a Naga expert but the stringing looks original to me.  (I always welcome opinions otherwise!)  This came out of an estate in the US.  However, my understanding is that Naga used the same beads over and over again to restring/remake necklaces.  If you zoom in you will see that most of the red beads in this necklace are worn, but there are a few orangy red beads which are not worn.
