Silver ‘tepelik’. Bolu / Turkey.

Silver ‘tepelik’ (metal cover of a woman’s hat) with embossed floral decor and mounted glass pearl. Early 20th century. The square shape of the ‘tepelik’ is singular and characteristic of some areas in the Bolu province. (Inv.nr. tep001-Kavak Costume Collection - Antwerpen/Belgium).
