Caucasian woman's belt. Late-Ottoman era, ca. 1900. Possibly from an Armenian workshop. Silver and niello; the segments have been slid over a leather belt. (Inv.n° müç016 - Kavak Costume Collection - Antwerpen/Belgium).

  • Lovely! The costume looks Armenian, the belt could be Armenian too, but similar pieces were also worn in other regions of the Caucasus... Thanks for sharing!
