Caucasian woman's belt. Late-Ottoman era, ca. 1900. Possibly from an Armenian workshop. Silver and niello; the segments have been slid over a leather belt. (Inv.n° müç016 - Kavak Costume Collection - Antwerpen/Belgium).

Lovely! The costume looks Armenian, the belt could be Armenian too, but similar pieces were also worn in other regions of the Caucasus... Thanks for sharing!

The costume is Armenian (from Oltu, ca. 1900). You can see the full costume in my album 'Anatolia - Traditional costumes'. With kind regards, JM.
