‘Pullu gömlek’ (shirt with sequins). Afyon / Turkey.

Festive ‘pullu gömlek’ (shirt with sequins), for women, from the Sandıklı district (Afyon province). Style of 1950-1975. The front and arms are adorned with metal sequins and ‘tel kırma’ embroidery (motives obtained by sticking narrow metallic strips through the fabric and folding them). (Inv.nr. göm007 - Kavak Costume Collection-Antwerpen/Belgium).
