Silver chest ornament. Late-Ottoman, Turkey. Kars Provincial Museum.

Chest ornament, for women. Probably from the Kars province, late-Ottoman style, end of 19th - early 20th century. The ethnic origin is not given, neither for the silversmith, nor for the former owner. High grade silver & semi-precious stones. On exhibit in the Kars Museum. (picture: © Dick Osseman).
