    Ann, it`s not my design, I bought it assembled as it is but missattributed. Following discussion with Sarah, I`ve examined it again and I think there is a possibility of it being carved from horn and dyed. Unusually it is quadrupled drilled.

    I like the fact that all the elements could be found in Mauretania and I like to think it was strung there too. I like the little metal spacers (with Arabic?) as well. The big beads remind me of layered tcherots.
