  • Elaborate piece.  Egypt work a lot with birds, I think, have seen quite a number of dinner table birds from Egypt.

  • How nice they are! I have not seen any of gthese in years, thanks for posting.

  • Very nice these are! I have not seen any of those for years. Thanks for posting!

  • both very attractive, but  I love the mirror!

  • Alaa Ed... I am reading just the title you wrote, a pumice holder, my goodness, they really loved their good living.  How wonderful, to have a silver pumice stone holder. Stunning. And is the other one a mirror like Eva commended on?

  • Beautiful! How big are these?

  • Ingrid....you cant imagine how these oriental ladies were spoilt...and it is only for the average ones....we can only try to imagine how these accessories were made for the well to do ones...the sultan's and emir's wives and concubines.....possibly gold and precious stones....

but then it was the norm all over the world.....i recently discovered similar stuff being made for the european nobilty, the ottoman world...the chinese...the indian.mughals....

when ou have money you dont count expenses.....and fir the beloved ones, you can do even more
  • So true, some times nice to be the receiver but than in this time and age the receiver will want it with their independence and of course, to be also the giver as sign of independence.
