A pendent. Carved mother-of-pearl. With the representation of the Theodokos (the Virgin Mary and the Child Jesus). Greek-Orthodox ('Rum') or Armenian, folk art, late-Ottoman era (18th or 19th century AD). On exhibit in the Kayseri Museum of Archaeology. (© Dick Osseman).
