A traditional ‘gerdanlık’ (tight-fitting necklace) from northwestern Anatolia. Rural jewelry, ca. 1900-1950. Purchased in Bursa. Silver alloy & coral, five small late-Ottoman coins. Width: 22½ cm. (Inv.n° müç130 - Kavak Costume Collection - Antwerpen/Belgium).
