A traditional ‘gerdanlık’ (tight-fitting necklace) from northwestern Anatolia. Rural jewelry, ca. 1900-1950. Purchased in Bursa. Silver (various alloys), glass beads & set glass paste. Width: 22 cm. Five small late-Ottoman coins (Inv.n° müç030 - Kavak Costume Collection - Antwerpen/Belgium).
