Ge-ez is written just like amharic, but just different words. Look at your little bible or icon I know you have in your possession. Also the edged in is so deep which is also not
Ethiopian. Eva I do think it has a different country as its origin. Gr. Ingrid.

Thanks, Ingrid: I will have a look tonight at my Ge-ez /Amharic pieces.But the ring is Ethiopian, if not it was imported to Ethiopia. It was bought in Ethiopia by a seller who travels there regularly..
Perhaps someone knows - the description says, the ring is worn by Ethiopian Muslims and the writing are Arabic numbers............(Sorry that I did not write this exactly, I had to check again with the description). If it is not Ethiopian, then it must have been imported into Ethiopia, as the seller travels regularly to Ethiopia and buys his items there. I also have most of my hairpins from that seller (apart the ones from Ingrid and one from Betty).
