Very impressive piece Alaa .I can see the David Star warmly intregated. So this type is more worn on a chain than keeping a wrap pinned down?

No the fibula is still pinned to the garments, middle chest, but it no longer pins to pieces of fabrics together (like the way classical fibulas are used ofr), but it only adorns the chest in the way of simple brooch using the omega system to attach it.
The postcard shows it rather confusingly, since this lady has pinned her fibula while embolding / thickening the place the pins pierces to avoid the fabric being torn for the jewel is rather heavy and the pin is quite thick!!

Beautiful fibula, I like how worn it is. Were they handed down as heirlooms into the early 20th century, or still made new at that time?
