Ethiopian Engagement Pendant, silver, early 20th century, representing Bible and the 12 apostles (dangles). Info by the seller: Ethiopian Orthodox (Tewahedo) Church, when a couple becomes engaged it is customary for the groom to present a necklace and a pair of earrings as a gift to his bride. Engagement necklaces often feature a rectangular pendant representing the Bible, and a series of tapering conical attachments representing the Apostles.Size: 5 x 5cm (incl´hooks on top, but without dangles) Dangles 3 cm
