  Nice earrings Mustafa. I happen to have a pair which is very similar to this one but i always wonder how they were worn since they are extremely heavy. Br

  Thank you Sami for the kind comment. These heavy ear rings are usually not worn in the ears as they are heavy as you have said. They normally are tied together with a wide leather belt that hangs them  above the head and  on the two sides of the face just  near the ears.

  Note the two ear rings which are bigger than the ones I posted. Notice also the rounded head ornament which is obove the head which is called 'Manfugh and rbib' worn by Berber " Amazigh"  women.

  Thank you for the explanation and for this beautiful image Mustafa. That explains it. It actually reminds me on a large Omani earring - can weigh up to 1.5kg- worn in the same way. I will try to post an image once I have access to my collection but you may find it in "Oman Adorned". Br

  Thank you Lynn. The pair appearing with the leather belt are not in my collection. It is only a picture  from a book to show Sami how these type of ear rings are worn. Only the pair posted above are in my collection. Thank you for your comment and attention Lynn.
