  If the pendant is paisley shaped ( I cannot tell from the pics ) I would guess India.

  So the consensus seems to be Indian. Frankie, if you look at the other picture of this pendant, the compartment is really small, so I'm thinking it's something precious and in small quantities. Also because it is so well decorated. I thought Opium or perfume?

  Yes Patricia, the pendant is sort of paisley shaped, more like a pod with a horn at the end really. Any idea what it was for?
