  • nice, never seen this sort of thing in blue colour. Is it inside also like this?

  • Have seen the plain wooden brown bowls for milk. Ait, is this an unusual bowl or is it common in Algeria?

  • it is usual bowl by the touareg. the touareg have almost only 4 forms and art of bowls. i will post you in a hour some photos of bowls i have. the wood and coloring and also engraving is changing from area to another

  • Thanks , I love the indigo coloring.

  • patricia. the indigo coloring is everywhere in sahara to find. there is a shiny indigo chechs verry beautiful, if you open them in a room, you have in a second all the appartement blue. thoes chechs are verry important in sahara. maybe you have seen photos of touareg with the blue in the face and hands. this dark color on face helps to walk and see in the sun, you have less insects flying arround, the skin dont get dry.

  • I just hope the tar is not what we usually understand about "tar",  because that would be hazardous for the health (if milk was kept in it). Indigo is not a problem. Hope for the best.

  • The bowl as such is very nice, that is no question! Love it! (Just worry about the health....that is all)

  • there is 2 tars. one from oil ( petrol). comes from rafinery . the second one, what in sahara and for medicin and alimentary use comes from a destilery of wood

  • the rafinery one is used in industry and streets construction.roofs, walls, sellers ..... isolation

  • @ok thanks for the info. Probably you are right about the two types of tar. I will try to find some info on Google, when I have more time.
