Hello Ingrid, The two heart-shaped loops on the left and right would have had fabric attached and this would have been used to tie the bazuband to the upper arm.

Most of the time, in fact very often, these bands have pendents or other amulet boxes attached to them.

I meant to put a ruler in the photo. It is just over 6,5 cm in diameter. I just realized that the photo is actually upside-down.
