  • Great colors.

I have always been startled by the fact that almost all the beautiful coral has been sourced from the mediterranean since ages, and found its way that far.

The same for amber: from thebaltic to the sahara and himalayas!!

    Nice work!!

  • Thank you, Ayis. Yes, isn`t it amazing! One wonders how many hands such beads passed through to to get that far. To me it all points up the romance involved in the evolution of ethnic jewellery. Not to mention the trade battles!

  • More beautiful and ancient beads, Frankie.

  • Beautiful coral beads and great design too. I like the idea of the beads coming from a mala. They are very special.

  • Thanks folks.

But I`ve been feeling a little fraudulent where the colour is concerned so I`ve played with it a bit to show it as as it more truthfully is:-2506005353?profile=RESIZE_1024x1024

  • I think we need to add a definition to the glossary of Jewellery terms..

Frankietruffles......  meaning the wonderful things you can still fine for sale on the internet if you are truly dedicated to the quest x

  • You just wait, Pussycat, I might have a real corker = Frankietruffle coming up soon. Please everyone envisage my success!!

Yeah, going down in a glossary of jewellery will be my aim from now on! Why hadn`t I thought of that before?

  • You post the Frankietruffle, and I will start the entry for the glossary x  ;-)

  • Sounds great but I haven`t won it yet. And, if I do, it might take a fortnight before I can due to posting.

But I surely will if it happens!

  • Lovely necklace!
