silver over bakolite

Rajasthan bangle of a type purchased years ago nice old patina used over lac , wood or bakilite. this one is of the early plastics used in the 30's. India

Never saw them with leather? that's strange! I remember a whole group of these came out in different shapes.. thin ones having nobs and then wide ones having pleated silver and then some over wood (have some of those, I think predessor to bakolite) they sold really well. everyone likes them.

check it out on Ebay number 290707411862 too bad it is only 6 cm dia will not fit me otherwise I would have bought it.

i looked at it Marie.a it looks actualy more horn than leather. i think that the seller did a mystake

I looked at it and the silver looks a bit dingy to me. Not sure how pure it is. These sell well if the silver is really good or they are old. photo is not enough to convey enough info to me. but thanks for telling us about it
