  Linda, if you have the time I wanted to ask, is the body of this bracelet made up of silver sheet, or coiled and fused silver wire?  I have recently purchased a similar bracelet and I have never seen anything like it, except for the tube rims the bracelet appears to be formed entirely of coiled and fused wire.

  This is made with a double sheet back and front, then on it, wire is fused.  I have several of these of all sizes some with enameling also.  I had a pair that belonged to a friend that were open back examples but had the wire work all up and down like these and were old ones. They make many fakes of this type and the open type so you have to watch that they are the same.

  I can still get it on but getting it off is a problem. I wore it recently but it was horrible trying to remove it.  I have to loose 20 pds to fit it correctly which I have to do as I'm over weight.  It's a problem not being able to wear jewelry because of weight gain!

  This is such a gorgeous bracelet and I am grateful to you for sharing it.  I will post mine as soon as soon as I can take photos.. it has wire work all up and down the outside and inside and I think it's authentic, but will not be offended if it's a fake.  :)  I sympathize with your problem... I have a lot of jewelry that I can just barely wear with a 5.5" wrist and if I gain anything in my wrists I am in trouble!

  Linda, you are not alone in this, Also I cannot fit into rings and bracelets any more, even though I have lost some weights, my hands and wrists stay enlarged (also because of slight swelling of the bones.)

  There are still so many things amongst the ethnic jewellery to enjoy. (smile. Gr. Ingrid.

  Ladies, do not also forget that many of these bracelets were also given as engagement items, when women were  young and slender. So please do not dispair.

  True but I have to look at my daughter who is a tooth pick and smiles at me as she easily fits into everything of mine and looks fabulous .  I would like to try and loose the weight so I can continue enjoying my things. My modo is  if I don't use them, i need to loose them but I will never replace most of what i have so I have to keep telling myself there is hope.   I recently sold a dress I purchased before I got pregnant, a really beautiful one done in antique Sari fabrics in the 60s. I never fit it even after I lost some weight so I finally sold it 14 years after purchase, hope gone of being slim enough again to fit it. At least now the lady who purchased it can enjoy it and it went back to the city I once found it in!
