  • very sweet!

  • Thank you, Eva Lea.  I must photograph some of my other Persian miniatures, but it is not so easy to show them well, since the bone on which they are painted is very often slanted.  They are mostly from the middle of the XX C. from the famous Isfahan painter.  Some of them are signed.  The last I heard he was still lecturing here at museums in the U. S.

  • I really like the paintings, although they are fighting and I prefer peaceful subjects. But they are lovely´,I love the background colours, so soft and cheerful. I do paint myself, but have not found the peace for it since some time. Such miniatures are wonderful, because it takes less time to paint them than huge paintings. Perhaps I will re-start painting, trying to make small ones.. (of course cannot compete with these...), but small paintings are (for me) easier than big ones.

  • I admire miniature paintings, but when I was attempting to paint interiors and figures, I always needed a big canvas, it seems.  I gave that up when I no longer had the leisure time for it.  I was never good anyway ;)
