Beautiful Frankie. Lots of corals. Great finds.
These are lovely. I like the big coral pendants very much.
Very lovely, nice matched set which is hard to find. Where did you get them?
Thanks everyone. Patti I got them on eBay for a song. They were extremely grubby and misdescribed. The seller wasn`t certain what the coral was made of. She thought maybe glass. But they test as coral. I thought they were worth a punt. They feel so chunky and honest somehow.
Frankie how do you test coral?
Hi Chantal! Coral fizzes when you put a spot of acid on it. I just put a tiny drop of cider vinegar on a few of the bits, wiping it off quickly and rinsing in copious water immediately, then drying thoroughly.
Of course there might be other stones that have the same reaction but I`m sure as I can be that this is coral. It`s certainly not glass anyway
looks nice but difficult tosay anything about. would like to see a clear photo. for sure, we will open a long discussion after that :-)
thanks Frankie.
Sorry, ait ouakli, my cheap camera refuses to focus at a suitable distance so I cant provide any thing better than this. I would have already done, had I been able.
If you have any questions though, I`d be happy to answer them.
Very nice Frankie. Love the rich dark blue along with the red coral. Good find.
