  Well isn.t that stunning, exactly the shape of the one Peter placed for viewing yesterday from Turkey. I believe. On this photo it shows up a bit of green or is that some silver erosion? Very nice, I like the sturdiness and style. So good to see the two what can be done with a basic shape.

  Could it be Bulgarian as well? I am sure Peter will comment...

  Dear All; To me this belt buckle looks definitely Turkish. I have seen this type of buckles before and they were always allocated to Turkey. I am sure that the buckle is very large and the filigree center piece is definitely the best sign for it. I like it very much especially also since the center is gold plated - very special. When you clean it, it will shine like nothing else. The blue beads are of course there to ward off the evil eye. A very nice piece indeed! With kind regards. Peter

   I have seen one same published in a book on Syrian pieces and it is influenced by the Ottoman.  this is from the area of Aleppo, worn by men.
