    Yes, I think is is super-duper, Eva. Note the use of blue green enamelling, which is very frequent on Russian enamels, and also occurs on the piece of Azarbaijan which I posted (and indeed on other pieces in the Caucasus).

    To you and me, and I am sure most of the posters here, they are indeed precious, Anna - but unfortunately usually only to LOOK at. The prices for such pieces tend to run into many tens of thousands or indeed hundreds ... But we are lucky, these days, that we can find so much illustrated, not only in books far better produced than even a few decades ago (particularly when it comes to colour photography), but also on the internet!
