  • the 3 angles pyramide has 3 way to understand

     the romantic side:a sitting woman

the home side: a tent ( sometimes half round )

a masculi side being man and free : gazelle ( it is not the same by the all touareg tribes)

  • 3 is representing the male. the same as in another cultures

  • That is interesting, I thought that the triangle represented the female. I recall a similar discussion wherein the triangle represented a sitting woman or the tent. Did I miss something about symbolism in another discussion? Also, do they still make these pieces -- I know they are Hoggar and from Algeria(?) but I didn't know that they currently produce them. If so, is it for the native people or the broader marketplace.?

  • yes patti, the triangle form, as i wrote, is representing a woman. it is even what cocacola company transformed to make attractive bottle.

the 3 is the male, the 4 is the female, the 7 is the couple

boing is a fun of this cult. boing 737. 747...

it looks maybe strange but the people bringing marks on the markt take minutiosly care of this numbers

  • yes waqar. 3+4=7 they are all in one. and the dots are always 7

  • this all joins between the symbolism of early times such as a women, a tent or even the goddess tanit and also numerology...they do not contradicts each others and all point towards the newly wed girl being adorned with powerful fertility symbolism to fulfill the universal aim of having a child

  • thank you akkie.

from 1972 until now, were not many of thoes khomeissa made. now they are almost not more to find. if one appeares,it is for sure old piece from a private persone who wants to sell it to some smiths. they know me and keep it for me.

it is how i get them now.

they are actualy a specialty of the Hoggar ( from djanet until tamanrasset ) in lybia ( ghat, akakus mountains ) were also to find.

yes , please post the photos

  • salam

thank you. it is the famous sebeiba festival. we have it ones a year in Hoggar area. in Djanet, illizi and Tamanrasset. this one is in Djanet, i recognise the mountains behind and some clothes.

verry interesting. in the same time there is night, the imzad festival ( imzad is a touareg women music instrument )

  • waqar. the 3 + 4 = 7. if you take one triangle, you have 3 trinagles inside taht are the same. it is the 3. if you add the one in middle they are now 4. if you take the 3 you see and the 4 you see with adding the middle one you have 7. it also why they put 7 dots.

5 is the hand. they call it khomeissa
