  • well the filigree here is more of wpiraling a long silver thread and constructing a very harmonious wave pattern

  • These are interesting --clearly filigree, are they silver or silver plated? The enamel looks as if it has been restored, or repainted ( the mint green enamel looks to be an unusual color) but it could be that the colors are not showing up accurately in the photograph.

  • silver they are and the enamel might have been refurbished but not recently, the colours are quite similar to the real ones, recently i have come up with the conclusion that there is  a real craziness in the ait ouaouzguit old stuff, surprising me each time...

This could be the result of an old kingdom settling there or that the ait ouaouzguit country being a shelter for some ancient techniques that have disappeared there

  • I think you are right about the craziness of the ait ouaouzguit stuff, it is often fine silverwork with really odd colors and strange repousse -- very different from the consistent design of other Moroccan pieces -- I often wonder how anybody even can identify the pieces as ait ouaouzguit since they often look unrelated to me.

  • Some other details of these bracelets to be soon on sale on my ebay page here
