  • Nice photo.. I have not gotten to the years I sold tons of old chinese things. I had one that was huge and all complete as well as this small one.  I think that stuff is all on disks.. I met Joost with a pair of chinese earrings that I had in an add so it was a long time ago!

  • There are still many more exciting adornment pieces ( jewelry, textiles and clothing) from the minorities in China that are little known outside of China. My goal is to make a few trips to China, each time concentrating on a specific area to collect adornment from the minorities of that region.  First stop on my next trip to China is Sichuan province to visit the area where the Yi people live.

  • @Linda: I think it was in the early 2000s, most likely, that I first wrote to you. Or at the very earliest just before 2000. @Howah: good idea, such an exploration. I think the Chinese minorities in SW China, especially, are fascinating, not least the Yi.

  • i   belong to  this kind of  hmong,in fact,this is  a kind  of   item  we  never  sale.this   a  thing a  monther  must  give   it  to her son.
