  • oh that is nice, thanks Betty, and I am still on Connection! So I can comment right away. The telsums match the pattern of the hairpin, a beautiful combination! And your hairpin has yet another design, to be seen on the neck, like two triangles at the sides! Beautiful!!!

  • My favourite telsum and hairpin together. I often wear them. Since taking the pic I have collected a few more gilded telsum to add to the necklace, but I have no picture at hand.... anyway, this one gives a good impression, I think. I am still looking for those tubular spacer beads that are often used to separate the telsums in traditional designs, but even my "man in Ethiopia" has not been able to find some so far...

  • Thanks Eva - hope you'll soon be online again. We are missing your comments and pics!

  • 2506025235?profile=originalI am still here for a Moment, thanks anyway! What do you mean by "tubular beads" (spacers), tubular telsums or something else?  Like the one on the Picture here with the hairpin at the bottom? Or another type? Am just wondering.

  • sorry I did not have another Picture here than the one with the hairpin . Is this bead below a spacer?

  • Super picture! Just love all the rich textures and different shapes and shades of silver.

  • Thanks a lot Patricia and Eva! I rather do like the pic (and the pieces) myself...

@ Eva: Preethi and Frankie have posted pictures of complete telsum necklaces including such tube-shaped beads:
