Traditional bridal headdress from Merkez Kapıkaya köyü (Kozak Yaylası, near Bergama, north of Izmir). Mid-20th century. Ethnic group: Alevi Türkmen. (Kavak Costume Collection - Antwerpen/Belgium). Reference: ‘Türkmen Giyimi’ – Sabiha Tansuğ.

    Fantastic photo references.  I have long admired your photo collection on pinterest.  I have two headdresses like this which I need to finish cleaning and then I will post them.
