Bracelet, India

I saw once a bracelet like this described as coming from the state of Maharashtra (India). Any additional or any other information will be most welcome.

An Afghani friend, who used to sell jewels in Paris, brought for me one of these bracelets from India/Pakistan frontier. She told me that they are from this region ..... beautiful, and very light bracelet as it is empty inside (sorry for my bad english ! I'm french .... ;-))

quite a monumental piece, I thought it would be terribly heavy, but read in the comments, that they are not heavy since hollow inside. I did not know this, resp forgot that this coule be hollow. The weight of an item is not unimportant, if one wants to wear it....
