Armenian jewelry box, late-Ottoman, dated 1751. Gilt silver and turquoise. With an inscription in Armenian on the body of the box. Place of origin not mentioned. (Armenian Museum of France, Paris).

Dear Jean-Marie, this is so well crafted. I wish we could interpret the Armenian inscription. These Armenian jewellers are now dispersed globally. We have several groups in London, in Hatton Garden for instance, who are making superb modern jewellery.
