Extremely beautiful, I love your collection of Palestinian jewelry. I have a single from Samour/Hamour but to have a pair is very special! Do you know which smith made these bracelets?
Thank you for your compliments Lynn. I am glad your enjoying the posts. This pair was made by Hanna.Br
Dear Sami, a lovely pair of Haydaris. I think you made a typo there, it should be Sammour, not Hamour.
Thank you for your comment Nada. I was wondering if its a "ص" or a "ح". Apparently its "صمور /Sammour". It is difficult to read on the hallmark but appreciate your rectification. Br
Lovely bracelets, Sami. Very early in my "career" as an amateur collector of ethnic jewelery I came across such a bracelet and sadly let it pass in my ignorance...
Classic bracelets, Sami and a very interesting post. I have two of these and would love to know more about them.
Thank you Betty and Preethi for your comments. Am sure other opprtunities will come your way to obtain a Haydari bracelet Betty. I am posting a few other designs to show the variation of design from one smith to the other. 1)Sammour 2)Khalil 3) Unmarked. BR
Great images for comparison. Thanks Sami!
