A large 'toka' (woman's belt buckle). From northwestern Anatolia, late-Ottoman, ca. end of 19th century. High grade silver and glass paste. Decorated with 'Turkish Rococo' motifs. Purchased in Izmit, in 1995. (Inv.n° müç013 - Kavak Costume Collection - Antwerpen/Belgium).
