these are jewish girls from south east morocco!

the way they use nielloed pendants from upmountain berber "ait seghrouchen" big pectorals, was very specific to the jews of the region

I agree, toya - both that ayis's knowledge is limitless (at least in this sphere of interest to all three of us!) and on the joy of the jewelry. Actually I did think that the girl on the right looked Jewish - but that is as far as I got, until I read ayis's message. It's high time he writes a book for all of us!!
