large yomud necklace gilt silver applied, carnelians, larger scale than usual. late 19th c or early 20th .

The applications on this are quite nice color and it's a rather larger example. This style of necklace was actually the second piece of Turkoman jewelry I owned. I sold it subsequently many years later and I have always missed it. Mine was more simple and had quite nice silver. Another style I would like to re gain for myself. Most examples I have seen lately are not as old or not as good quality as I would want for myself.
