Thank you Eva, Marie-Ange and Akkie. The top of the pendant doesn't have a lid - not sure if it did originally? It's hollow and big enough that it may have been used to carry something?

This looks to me as a bottom cover of a Yemini knife and adjusted,magnificient work.

Thanks Ingrid. I think you might be right... on the back of the 'pendant' it has a loop (to attached the knife to a belt?). It's an odd loop to have on the back of a pendant. This piece is quite large too, so it makes sense that it could be a knife cover. Thank you!
