  • Beautiful, one of my favorite jewelry pieces, did you restring it yourself??

  • This one was in average wearable condition when we collected it some years ago.  I only had to add some new matching cloth ties because the old ones had become too tattered.  The collar itself needed only to have one of the silver cones re-attached and 5 or six silver bead pendants replaced.

  • I forgot to say thank you for your comment, Marie-Ange, and also to say that except for the ties and the 5 or 6 bead pendants, the piece is original, just as it was collected in Yemen and sent to us.  The bead pendants I salvaged from a pair of very damaged Yemen items that were of the same era.

  • It is a beautiful piece Anna, mine looked much more battered but I love it very much and wear it very often.  You have a wonderful collection!

  • Nice  touch the extra coral beads! wonderful necklace.

  • These pieces are fun to wear, especially if I invite jewelry friends in to browse through the collection.  They are impressed with the wearability of these headbands.  And with how much they light up the female face.

  • I cannot take credit for the coral beads.  Thank Goodness, they were all there when I got the necklace ;)  In fact, all three of this type of headband in my collection have this kind of coral beads in exactly the same position between the silver cones all the way through the string of cones.
