    'In Scutari where Moslem and Christian Albanians mingle, all townswomen wear large loose turkish trousers of silk or cloth.Silken also are their long sleeved chemises, over which are embroideded boleros, with a huge many coloured sash. when outside all hide their faces in robes which fall from head to knee.'
