An 'ibrişimli fes' (woman's hat with imitation hair) from southeastern Anatolia, ca. 1925-1950. Worn in the provinces of Diyarbakır, Urfa, Hakkâri..., mostly by Kurds. Felt hat (9.5 cm high), its top (Ø 16½ cm) worked with black, grey and pink silk, and golden metallic thread. Imitation hair in black silk; length: 12 cm (front), 35 cm (temples) and 68 cm (back).
