  • Indeed a very good example, and with a tughra shaped hallmark.

My understanding is that these were also worn in the southern part of nowadays turkey where there is a big arabic minority, i have seen them on sale at SANLI URFA near the Syrian border and i own one with turquoise inclusions.

Yours seem far superior than most i have seen so far.

  • Spectacular example of a very beautiful and soulful old bracelet.

  • By the way, i am trying to learn to take better pictures of my jewels.

Can you update me with your technical setting (lights, camera...ECT), Thanx

  • Hey Alaa …send me all your jewels ..and i'll take pictures ….!!! Just kidding !!!

Natural light …not direct ..but in shade …grey background for only silver ….black background for silver and gilded silver …try …and show me

    Kisses

  • Dear Angelo. A truly magnificent bracelet ... needless to say that the Thugra mark is adding value to it! With kind regards. Peter
  • Fantastic - I am a bit jealous, Angelo. I have been looking for one (or two) of these for a long time...

Yours really is particularly  beautiful. I agree with Alaa that these (and other Syrian styles) where also worn in Southern Turkey. I have seen some bracelets of this style coming all from this region. Incidentally I have recently met a few people belonging to the Arabic speaking minority from this region.

Could you please post a picture of your bracelet, Alaa?

  • @Angelo

Your bracelet seemsto have only one hinge? So it does not open completely but widen just enough to be slid on hand? Can you confirm?

  • Yes Alaa ..one hinge
