A huge Khamsa from north eastern Algeria, from the CHAOUIA berbers. Sometimes used as a central pendant of the lovely clove and coral necklaces

    Stunning hamsa!  What's the size?  I usually see these at about 5 cm long or so.  There is one with a bakelite cabochon on the necklace with cloves that I posted.

    Indeed it is a very attractive and rare piece,

     

    This Khamsa is  14cm * 9 cm

    I really struggled to find one of these khamsas, they are hard to come by, so i am keeping it for the moment

    Very attractive and in good condition. I think we are all agreed we'd like to own it, which is indeed a good reason for not selling it, Ayis!
