jose. it is a wunderful piece. in my opinion, the restring is mix with beads from northafrica (looks real amber )

we have to do like the camel not the horse
do you know that the camel never eats lotof leaves from one ast, takes just a little and goes to the next ast.even if he is hungry, never eats a lot from one tree. always leaves enough that the tree survives and for him to find next time he is there.
we sell a bit ( corectly and honestly ) and we let some pieces fell behind the desk or under the bed and we just forget them
Thank you Waqar/Ait for your extremely nice comments and valuable input. Actually I bought this in London about three or four years ago. I liked it and the seller told me that it was Baluchi. Maybe he meant that not the arrangement itself but some of the beads. I am attaching below two more pictures. I do not have any close up picture at the moment.
I feel this too in regard to collecting / selling. For years I kept very little, because as you say, to perpetuate trade we must sell the beautiful pieces we find through our love of them. The pieces I have kept have mainly be those gifted to me kindly by others.
A few years ago I realised that the ability to find great pieces at prices I could sell to my clients was becoming more difficult, so the jewellery tours were arranged to allow those with a true passion to still access and enjoy the treasures.
Over the past. 6 months I have begun to keep some pieces for a small collection of my own, as I know that if the chance passes and I have nothing to remind me of this life passion I shall be desolate!
The passion of a seller is no less than the passion of the collector, it just takes massive self control and sense of a purpose of bringing the palpable joy of experiencing these wonders to other people because we can truly understand the power and beauty which each holds.
I think that this deep passion and the ability to pass on the joy that the objects of our passion brings brings us joy ourselves. I like to help people to feel happy !

Oh you dealers! What would us greedy collectors do without you? :))
Everybody is a dealer sooner or late, I sell things that I love too, right now it is antique quilts, just to afford my jewelry addiction -- so many of the dealer/collectors on the site are also scholars and passionate lovers of ethnic beauty and that is why I spend so much time here! I greatly appreciate your ability to let things go, it would be almost impossible for me at this point to sell parts of my collection. I know that people like you and Ait and Sarah and Ayis have wonderful taste and knowledge and I depend on that to select some of the heavenly things that I currently find. And I have always hoped that you all have a secret stash somewhere, stuff to hand down to you children, because so much of what we see now will not be around in just a few years.
Thank you so much, Waqar. And do not apologize at all. That is one the nice things about this venue. It is a lively one and discussions can take many directions, resume again and so on. Great!.
