I would place this scrollholder in Ethiopia. I do have a couple of them.
I second Ingrid, but of course it is sometimes hard to tell if a piece is from Yemen or Ethiopia as can be very much alike and a lot of styles can be found on either side of the Red Sea.
Absolutely true Betty, although Ethiopian is mostly a bit rougher.

Thank you Ingrid and Betty. I'm open to suggestions, that's why I put a question mark after Yemen. Ethiopian jewellery is new territory to me, but I'm learning a lot thanks to all your discussions.
