  • Beautiful ring Lynn!

  • Thank you Nada!

  • Love your ring!  Protective colour. These rings were worn on the middle vinger.

  • Thank you for that detail Johanne.  I wish I could find photographs of women wearing the Saudi turquoise jewelry but I have not been able to.  The Saudi turquoise is my favorite.

  • I will send you a picture from the book: Traditional Crafts of Saudi Arabia (John Topham) published in 1982 .It takes some time, I need the help of my son for posting it..

  • I took this picture of a book called 'Traditional Crafts of Saudi Arabia' (Topham, 1982). I think pictures of saudi women are rare, because most of them don't want to be photographed.

  • Johanne, thank you for sharing such a gorgeous photo!  I have ordered this book after your reference.  Now I have to set my sights on a necklace like the one below.  :)

  • Thanks Lynn. These nice necklaces are very scarce and expensive..Maybe it is possible to find one of these pendants on internet. I hope you will enjoy the book ,I like it because the are a lot of nice dresses to see in it.

Do you have the book; The art of bedouin Jewelry by Heather Colyer Ross? I like this book too, there a are pictures of rings in it too.

  • O , I 've made a mistake.. I have the book; Bedouin jewellery in Saudi Arabia , of H. Colyer Ross. ( 1978). But maybe the same pictures and articles are to find in the first mentioned book.
