  • Have never seen the like of these before...great find. They look a bit like an Indian cow's nose ring......just a thought! Great photo.

  • Thanks a lot, Chantal. Very original comparison!.

  • very nice, I have never seen These either with the dangles!

  • Jose, where do you get  your info about the Rashaidas?  (I know I can have very original ideas.....)

  • These are great! They look like a variation on defence bracelets ... you could rattle them first to give a warning!

  • Those great pendants are common for the Rashaida or Bisharya peoples. They are very, very light and thin. I have a pendant with them. The bracelets look to be of a common design for the East Africa/Yemen region. I think the combination is exciting.

  • very nice jose. as usual, master pieces.

semilar ones are also worn from tubu women in tchad

  • Great pair Jose! Mine are nearly the same a bit different in the dangles and the pattern in between the rows of little "granulles" (are those hammered?).

    here is one:

  • Jose are you sure they are Rashaida anklets?

  • Thanks for sharing these, Jose and Harald. I had no idea that these spiky bedouin bracelets have dangles in their original configuration!
