I am going to guess Mapuche from Chile. I live in the American Southwest and have never seen any jewerly of this sort.
Well, I am not really sure about that but it would not be impossible. You also know how people are exposed to some other cultures and influences. On the other hand crosses are not that uncommon symbols...
