On the Hebron money hat:
Dear Lynn; A truly wonderful piece. I am still trying to find such a hat. But if successful, it would cost a bomb - for sure! I already have the temple decorations, which I have posted together with another very large ornament in the same style, on EJ a few months ago. My temple decorations are of the same style as yours but around 50cm long. I agree with your previous comments, Palestinian jewelry is very soulful and I too, love it very much. Oh well, it is time for me to visit Jerusalem again... Congratulations on a rare and beautiful find Lynn. With kind regards. Peter
An interesting piece, Lynn. Thanks for sharing.
Your photos are very sharp and show details well. May I ask if you're using a lightbox or scanner or something else?
Thank you so much for your comments, Peter and Preethi. Peter, I remember your Palestinian temporals vividly - they were one of your first photos I saw, and I fell in love with them! I am sure you will find the hat eventually.
Preethi thank you for your compliment! I use a light box and experiment with different lighting. My recent photos have been taken with the light box outside on a cloudy day, with strong daylight lights on either side in addition to the indirect sunlight from above. I do not use a macro setting, I find it loses too many details. This was taken straight down with the top of the light box open.
