    WOW Bianca, they are gorgeous! How are you able to obtain such pieces? Is it not forbidden to take out such ancient treasures from Tunisia? Here in Jordan, Roman items (and they have a lot not to mention the treasures from Petra) are forbidden to export. I am not collecting such ancient pieces but I love to look at them. Congratulations. Peter

    Dear Peter, several years ago in Tunis in a shop bijoutier that had hung on the wall so much junk, almost could not believe my eyes when I saw this pair of earrings. I asked about them to the seller, which strangely did not understand the importance of the piece, and he said: "An old lady, found them in the ground working in the garden." He asked me a ridiculously low price, that I was very happy to give him. The Bardo Museum I have seen a few similar. These things do not happen hardly ever, I was very lucky.

    I agree with Chantal - it's so exciting to discover a rare or unusual item in an unexpected place. Of course few of us will ever make  such a find. Congrats, Bianca!

    I only feel sorry for the old lady who initially found the treasure and certainly did not get much for it from the dealer...

    Beautiful earrings. Strange that they are so asymmetrical (one noticeably longer than the other).

    Beautiful pair! This treasure is very rare to find I have had the chance to buy a pair there over 30 years rather expensive.
    My earrings are slightly mismatched.
    I am in India and when I'm back I would show you a picture, congratulations Najet
