  Thanks all for the nice comments. I was greatly drawn to the very archaic looking motifs on this cuff.  I believe that this cuff is at least 'vintage' and it is very different from the more common cuffs/bracelets in the Kazakh style found in generic ethnic jewelry books and for sale. I have seen modern versions of this type, but the workmanship of those are clearly of a simpler level.

  Several similar examples to mine are also featured in my book on Kazakh jewelry that was published by a state museum in Kazakhstan. In that book one can find examples of Kazakh jewelry that wouldn't easily be identified as being Kazakh. Anyways, another lucky internet purchase.

  Hey, no it's all silver. No glass or other materials. I have no idea what the motifs mean to be honest. Here is a photo of a Kazakh woman wearing a similar cuff with rings. The type she is wearing is the more common style with false granulation and the glass windows.

  Hi, there is no gilding actually. Just all silver. It's my camera filter that caused the effect that gives it the special hue/reflection. Interesting view on the motifs by the way.
